The article has made very good points.

Let's just touch on the first point: the Peranakan culture. It has been destroyed and what's left is just a hollow mockery, a joke punchline for tourists. In Malacca, Peranakan culture is preserved, embraced and promoted.

I would also add to the list: the destruction of nature, the destruction of heritage sites, and the destruction of small businesses by crony-led conglomerates.

This is what happens when you are ruled by rent-seeking pappies: they know the price of everything but the value of nothing.

Solution is very simple. Just kick out the PAP in the government, and everything is possible once again.
