Wangpu Port became operational under new zero-tariff policies introduced in December 2025.
The Kra Land Bridge project is currently in the bidding phase, with significant rail and road construction anticipated to commence in 2026.
Hong Kong has regained its position as Asia's leading financial hub, topping the Global Financial Centres Index (GFCI).

Singkie's iron rice bowl must adapt to accommodate the changes. Plan early

I think it’s time to assess the effectiveness of the 1 belt 1 road project :coffee::coffee::coffee:

I cannot see the significance of kra canal or land bridge economically. Thailand would have built it decades ago if it was viable. But right now they dont even have a major port at both east and west coast of kra canal.
Malaysia has a big port in kuantan hoping to attract container liner service but it failed. It was revived mainly due to iron ore and bauxite exports.

Minister, President and PM's salary must slashed for its failure to read Geopolitics.

Primarily due to lower costs, reduced environmental impact, and fewer domestic political controversies related to security and geopolitical balance, Thailand did not proceed earlier because of a lack of budget and insufficient investment, both locally and internationally. Now that China has invested in and gained experience with such mega constructions, they also possess the necessary manpower and materials.

Andaman sea is the playground of India. New playmates like china will be not be tolerated. The KMT 9 dash lines doesn't extend west wards.

Thailand extends an invitation to China and other nations to invest in the Kra Land Bridge(inside Thailand), with Chinese companies expressing strong interest in actively bidding for the project's construction with minimum two ports, one in the east the other in the west. The Andaman Sea is not involved, except for the ocean liner, which will be traveling through international waters.

Absolutely no. The failure is due to the fact that they are underpaid for such difficult jobs. I suggest a minimum increase of 10X to motivate them. MAJULAH.

Keep dreaming. China is going to be fucked big time in 2026.

The exuberance after joining the WTO in 2001 is over.

It's an IQ test, and it all depends on what kind of country you think China is.

Plan accordingly.

Keep doing business with this basket case of a country, see what will happen to you.

Individuals heavily invested in commercial and private property will face challenges when foreign talent and expatriates relocate their offices or factories, along with their workforce, to the locations.
