During our e-Meet People Session, one case reminded me of the challenge the government has in balancing the importance of border access restrictions with the needs of our companies and people.
A resident has a foreign skilled worker who just renewed his S Pass. As his elderly mother was critically ill in the Philippines, he went back to visit her. Now that he wants to return to Singapore, the employer had to book an entry slot. However, the MOM portal has no available slot even till mid July.
The company supports three main ground handling companies for SIA, SATS and dnata in terms of repair and maintenance service, renovation work in airport terminal building and also recovery and breakdown service within Changi Airport.
My volunteer and I helped this resident write an appeal to MOM to allow the S Pass holder to return in order not to affect the airport operations.
Do you think MOM should open a slot and allow the worker to return soon?

Traitorous mother fucker. There are many jobless who can easily be trained to do this job. It's not rocket science.
To companies who want to avoid these issues, employ a Singaporeans!

You pay Singaporeans and you can avoid such issues like they taking super long leave, mother sick, wife diarrhea, dog give birth, children drug addict, need to transfer land from daddy.
And to top it off, they practise their form of corrupt practises eg the job controller will give juicy and easy jobs with better payouts to those willing to give them kickbacks.
This country will go to the dogs if you continue to allow this.

Is changi that busy??already less travelling .lol

our economic policies have resulted in locals gravitating towards dead end gig jobs like Grab while critical skilled jobs have flown towards cheaper foreigners. what an upside down world we live in.

our economic policies leave a gaping hole in terms of 'total defence'

their obsession with keeping the airport open is to maintain an escape plan for cronies and families just in case shit hits the fan in sg.

They genuinely believe such social media posts endear them to the youths and future first-time voters.

Total defence was a sham from the very beginning.

Just another mutherfarker backdoor MP who missed the limelight in this pandemic.

The Pinoy can be a big help if he remains in Phippines and passes his precious skills and experiences to fellow Pinoys..
The employer can replace him with a citizen born in Singapore.

Better let him back in...Lucky Plaza businesses also depend on him.
