Besides the statue I would also like to petition that a small book publishing his life, achievements, sacrifices, quotes etc etc be printed and distributed to all Singaporeans and this book be taught in all schools where students need to memorize every single word front back.

We can use this as a reference

Yes, we call it the LKY White Book 李光耀语录. Everyone should have a copy of it and bring it wherever they go. Students must spend their recess time reading it. SAF personnel must recite it before first parade. And wave it in celebration during NDP.

A bucketload of human excrement flung at a statue has toppled a symbol of British imperialism in South Africa, marking the emergence of a new generation of black protest against white oppression.

The senate of the University of Cape Town (UCT) on Friday bowed to student demands that a brooding bronze statue of colonialist Cecil John Rhodes should be removed from the campus.

UCT, the oldest university in South Africa and regularly ranked as the best on the continent, was built on land donated by Rhodes, a mining magnate who died in 1902.

Many of the students involved in the protests never lived under the injustices of white minority rule, but say they still experience racial discrimination 21 years after the end of apartheid.

The large statue of a notoriously racist Rhodes gazing across an Africa that he coveted for the British empire made them feel alienated on a campus still dominated by white staff, they said.

The "poo protest" was launched by a small group of students earlier this month, sparking demonstrations demanding the statue be torn down.

On Friday, the university senate voted 181 to one to remove the statue permanently from the campus, after vice-chancellor Max Price acknowledged "the many injustices of colonial conquest enacted under Rhodes' watch".

In its 50th year of independence, Singapore lost its first Prime Minister. Mr Lee Kuan Yew’s dedication to Singapore’s betterment and success is beyond issue, especially after the outpouring of public tributes.

We should look into issuing a commemorative S$50 note to mark SG50 and also to carry the face of the late Mr Lee as a way of remembering and honouring his lifelong contributions to Singapore.

What about this PLP Ah Neh Quite appropriate as LKY is a money face asshole.

1) Sinkie Land is a republic not a monarchy. As such, there is no king or queen, and it stands to logic that there is NO such crime as lese majeste.

2) Thailand is a Third World country. Sinkie Land claims to have gone from "Third World to First World", why that dead Old Fart even claimed credit for it by making it the title of the second part of his autobiography, as if the first part did not contain enough nonsense already. Were this to happen in Switzerland, a First World country, the boy's constitutional right to freedom of speech would be duly respected.

3) Even in a constitutional monarchy (where the queen's role is purely ceremonial) such as the United Kingdom, it is perfectly LEGAL to make fun of the Queen as this video will prove. Why there are even some parodies of the Queen which are produced and shown on BBC, which is funded by taxpayers but independent of the Government which in turn is separate and different from mere political parties such as Lightning.
