An explanation could be that all these sinkies lining up 2 hours or more for $1 burger are unemployed. As unemployed, the value of their time has depreciated to a neglible amount. Hence, saving $2.125 per hour makes sene to them. That would be an explanation.

In economic terms, it could be sinkies don't know the meaning of opportunity cost. That they are blind to other resources, in this case time, that should be considered as well.

Although I like Mos the most, I think BK is quite decent compared to other fast food chains. However, I personally will not queue for the $1 BK burger as I think my time is better spent doing something else (or nothing). However, I guess these people who queued must think it is worthed their efforts and this does not bother me. It is a free world!
