Which country do not want to brag to have a world no. 1 airport?

But there are huge maintenance costs to pay to keep such a huge premises which many countries would rather give up this title.

Only a braggart one political party country in this world would pay this price to brag to have a world no. 1 airport? The tasks of keeping such a huge premises required many low wage labors. A private company would think 100 times to build such a huge airport premises to stay as world no.1 airport.

If you live in a 4 bedroom you require 1 maid but to live in a huge mansion you required more than 1 maid. Every economist knows labour costs increase with inflation overtime and maintaining a huge premises will be unsustainable in the long run. To keep their profit margin up is to suppress wages and also bring in cheaper foreign labours to be world no. 1 airport.

As such who is the main culprit that suppressed wages and bring in cheap foreign labours? How many more huge premises, shopping centres and buildings does the PAP owned?

Winning 4 times in as world no 1 airport has a price to pay at the expense of suppressing local wages, is it worth it?

Are Singaporeans proud to have a world no. 1 airport?

Singapore's Changi Airport has been voted the World's Best Airport at the 2013 World Airport Awards held in Geneva earlier this month.

It's the fourth time the airport has won the top prize, last claiming victory in 2010.

The awards, by votes of global travellers conducted by research firm Skytrax, this year had 12.1 million responses from across 395 airports.

As long as those airports generate economic activity its fine. Have to spend money to make money. But pap is too cheap to know that.

What so great about being a number 1 airport in the world?
It's the overall efficiency and experience in arrival, departure, baggage claim that matters most.
It doesn't matter even if we don't have much nice fittings, retail shops or good restaurants inside the terminal.

Being no 1 would encourage other airline to land here so it's economical...imagine if major airline stop parking here in SG...
