your concept of cleverness arises from an angle of past China's misery ..China was a land of poverty then ,almost more than 100 million perished without the basic nurishments to feed themselves ..thus the outward flow of chinese towards fertile and richer lands and far lessely poulated like the Malay archiepelago, and that too when chinese as a yellow peril forbidden entry to US and Australia ...in that sense ,what ever smartness of chinks arose out of mere survival instinct, and neither genetically too ...since no mandarin nor an educated chinese who had their stomach full ever migrated here ,nope !
