The fact that they are not willing to work hard for $3k, a salary people of their educational level can never dream of, overtime or no overtime. Douglas was being kind, he could have hired two $1,500.0 workers at 48 hours a week and would have got 96 hours instead of 48 because the workers would have cost only $7.80 an hour.
