I tried a similar upgrade on my old bike, and the only curveball was making sure I had decent cover once it had a motor. I ended up using sundaysinsurance.co.uk because it covered theft and damage without making me jump through hoops, which took a bit of stress out of the whole experiment. Makes tinkering a lot more fun when you’re not worrying about what could go sideways.
