One of Catholic Junior College (CJC)’s vice principals caused an online outrage among the school’s second-year students after allegedly making remarks about neighbourhood school students that were later deemed by the school to be “not appropriate”.

Mrs Yue-Chang Teck Hui, who oversees academics at the school, made the comment in passing on Tuesday, Aug. 7, while addressing the JC2 students about the importance of regular school attendance and self-responsibility.
An audio recording of her speech sent to us by a reader captured Yue-Chang saying “… a lot of their families are in a mess”, although it is not clear from the recording who she was referring to exactly.

My understanding from others more acquainted with the schooling system is that CJC is considered a below average JC. Now with the path to local universities blurring between polytechnics and JCs, CJC being a below average JC is really no better than the "neighborhood schools" that this VP belittles.

With this public drama, I think she can forget about ever making to principal level or transferring to a good JC.

In the looks department she has scored quite well; erm let me see. Tio Langar faced; chao-tar dried mango skin faced; sia-lan faced with a smug ccb mouth to boot. In the brains department, she has near zero EQ and not enough IQ. Surely this type of controversy will entomb her in her present position. Forget about the coveted P position.
