if one does the math, something is not right. 3 and 4 sir were started in 1967 while there were already 1 and 2 sir. 5 sir should start sometime in 1968. that's 50 years ago. this ah pek is 73 years old, which means he was 23 when he was in 5 sir. 3, 4, 5 sir are ns battalions, and the earlier 1 and 2 sir were also converted to ns battalions. unless he was a regular he could not possibly be a hokkien peng in 5 sir in 1968 at age 23. most conscripts were 18 to 21. at 23 he would be considered a lao peng at 5 sir. don't know if he talks cock or not, but most likely he tua pau xian.
