An interview with Yuko Ogasawara, 88-year-old porn star
There are jukujo mature porn stars. And then there’s Yuko Ogasawara (小笠原裕子).The 88-year-old is probably the world’s oldest porn performer.
We found a couple of recently published longish interviews with her on Shueisha Online.
The obvious questions to start with are: When and why did she begin performing?
Her husband died when she was 59 and she then entered the world of snack bars, working as a “mama” as one bar for seven years from the age of 61. Even after giving that up in 68, it was still several years until she entered the adult video industry.
She spent the intervening years helping her husband’s business or working at a friend’s restaurant.
She met someone from the AV production company Ruby, which specializes in mature women content, at someone’s house. She was reticent to show her naked body but they persuaded her to come see something being shot at the studio.
She complied but didn’t like what they were filming: it involved several older men supposedly in a care house having sex with a young woman.
The producers coaxed her in by promising that she could have a hot guy for her shoot. A few days later, they rang her up and said it was all fixed up.
When she shot her debut in her early eighties (different sources say she debuted at 80, 81, or 83), it was her first time she had had sex in around 20 years.
Ogasawara now shoots about one video a year. Here are some highlights from her career.
Having an older body, though, can make things difficult during sex. She notes that some mature performers have trouble with penetration because their bodies no longer lubricate naturally, so they need lube to prevent pain, but she doesn’t have this issue.
And the Japanese adult video industry is very grateful for her sprightly body!
