A man who stole six pairs of shoes from a block of flats in Woodlands was fined a total of $1,400 on Friday.
Sreeprasad Raghunathan, 42, pleaded guilty to three charges of theft involving a total of $395 at Block 152 Woodlands Street 13 on March 16.
The court heard that his modus operandi was to loiter around the corridors of the block to look for shoes placed outside the corridors.
He stole a black pair of leather shoes outside a 12th-floor unit and four pairs from another unit. He then walked down to the 10th floor where he stole a pair of track shoes.
