Watched Singapore soccer on TV and it doesn't look like Singapore comprise of Chinese. Went to principal/parents session at my daughter's primary school and more than 80% of the time was on the difficulty the kids have struggling with Chinese (or rather Mandarin) as a subject. All Singaporean operated food stalls are able to converse in English, so do all civil service personnel. I don't see too many Chinese made cars on Singapore roads. 75% or more Singaporeans have CHINESE ancestry, but do not look to China as their mother-land, including the PM's family, of which Lau Lee is more British than Chinese. This is what I observe of Singapore.
Cheers!

Ah Tiongs ? Good point and they are very important to maintain the above. Vast majority of new citizens /PRs also Chinese. Hee hee.
Other races are welcomed as long as they stay minority and are there to prop up the Chinese in sinkapore.
