Then why is the National Anthem in Bahasa Melayu? Why are all the road signs and street instructions in English? The way I see it, Singapore is more an International City with strong western values. That's why Ah Tiongs are not that welcomed.

Do u have selective vision or what? Road signs and instructions do come in three other languages as well namely Chinese, Malay and Tamil ok.
Singapore is an international city, no doubt, but we still treasure very much our Asian values!
Western society is largely based on individualism, while Singapore is still sticking to its Asian roots prefering to be collectivist.
Singaporean sons and daughters will stay with their parents until they get married off and move out with their spouse (and they will still actively keep in touch with their own family members even then). In the west, the offsprings are expected to leave the house to be on their own when they reach university age (and contacts with their parents remain very minimal from then on).
We are not as outspoken or aggressive as the typical westerner who will not hesitate to criticize everything that they do not understand or that do not match their values. Instead we learn to accept differences and will mostly keep our opinions to ourselves.
We still have our Chinatown, Little India and Malay village and we prefer to have Chicken rice, lontong or roti prata over steaks, pasta or hamburger.
Bro, no matter how westernize u try to be u will forever be just another chink in the eyes of those angmos. Based solely on ur skin colour u will never be allowed into the "white men's club".
Learn to love urself, learn to love ur own skin colour and stop being that banana man that every angmo finds amusing and every Asian hates.
