More hikers in S'pore caught straying off designated trails last year

With global leisure travel largely out of the question for most Singaporeans last year, many took to the nature reserves here in search of a much-needed getaway.

However, the number of cases involving people caught straying off designated trails was also the highest in five years.

NParks took enforcement action in 329 cases last year, more than double the 140 a year on average from 2016 to 2019.

Why not force everyone to wear a GPS-tracking ankle bracelet so they won't be able to stray away from your beloved 'designated trails'?

I think they probably set up mines and booby traps 8n case jiu hu launch a invasion.
Plus some areas considered sensitive as spies may want to inspect suitable locations for espionage and military training grounds.

It's an offense to walk somewhere which is not "designated"????

What sort of shit is that?

Can use existing govtech.

Demand hikers to use tracetogether and hang tracetogether 5-10m away from the designated trails. Collect the data of the offended and fine them.

draconian? otherwise no tangible use for tracetogether in real life.

Most fuckers are deviating from designated pussies too. No catch ?

All these need to do is to put some shitskin rapists in those undesignated areas, those caught will be raped, named and shamed.
