If I'm not wrong before they are allowed to go for the trip, the parents has to sign the acceptance form.
It was a mishap so the parents has to accept it as a honest mistake and move on.
Unless they suspect it was a planned murder foul play , then they should pursue the matter.
Hence, I'm not sure what kind of investigations, outcome and closure are they expecting?

I also doesn't understand why schools and unis want to organise outings and put themselves into risk of facing such parents. Ownself sign form then ownself cannot accept mishap.

One of my ter nao colleague signed up a oversea trip for his pte uni child, and the trip costing more than 5k. He has to take bank loan to fulfil the piglet child demands and part of the activity involved skydiving.
I asked him what has sky diving to do with education and future.
He said - to build up confidence de woh

If the investigations showed that it was the fault of xxx, they want to sue xxx for money and send the fella to jail?

All the hipster young parents trying to one up one another to 'provide the best start' for their brats.

Normal HDB playground not good enough, need to let them play at Suntec Superpark.

Normal swimming lessons at ActiveSG public pool not enough, need them to learn swimming at an indoor pool, preferably with heated water.
