Aussie politics is brutal, but this is the first time I see such cruel writing on the wall.

The ambitious Julia Gillard is forced to become Prime Minister before her time after her party sacked Rudd.

The Aussie voters created a hung parliament and she grabbed power with a help of independent MPs and a corrupt opposition turncoat.

She refused to quit by saying I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE.

But she is NOT GOING ANYWHERE with her major policies as well - either half-baked or stuffed up.

This is what happens in the West Minister System, where by the unelected people who control the ruling party. Rudd was overthrown by the Faction leaders within the Labour Party. They are note elected and the people have no say.

The Westminster system isn't perfect but consider the curious case of Gerald Ford.

You will of course recall that Vice President Ford became president when his predecessor Richard Nixon resigned. But there was another resignation during the Nixon presidency, that of his earlier VP and running mate, Spiro Agnew. The resignation of Agnew led to the appointment of Ford as VP. In other words, Ford became president of the US without ever being elected because the two people who were elected resigned.

In the Westminster system, you have at least to be an MP before you can become a minister or PM.

If a nation is strong, it doesn't matter if she has a shithead leader; she will still survive.

Cheers!

The trouble is that she is not in control of her destiny.
The bet is on that she will not last beyond this Xmas.
