It is my hope that our species stop looking up to and worshipping wealthy folks. We should instead look up to and respect those who have contributed to humanity. There is nothing wrong with being rich or wanting to be rich as nobody wants to be poor, but there is no need to drool after them for their wealth.

There are probably richer people out there than Bill Gates. I remember reading that Suharto was worth about US$120+ billion

For all we know LKY may be richer than Bill Gates? He doesn't have to pay any taxes & all his expenses are picked up by the taxpayers of Spore. One can amass plenty of $$$$ in the 50+ years that LKY has been in power. I'm really not surprised that the estate laws were abolished. It is just another example of the power he has & how it is used to keep secret & retain that wealth.
