The World Health Organisation is supposed to give health care advice based on the recent scientific research. It is the place where best brains do everything to keep us healthy. It was until the COVID-19 pandemic.
It all started badly. WHO decided to trust China about the new virus. After was clear that seems more than they tell WHO started to inform us about it. The timeline is well known but the problem is that after 8 months:

1. We still don't know when and where exactly started.
2. We don't have standardized SARS-CoV-2 COVID-19 tests.
3. The current tests give many false positive results so practically useless.
4. We don't even have a definition of what's COVID-19 death.

Governments consider as COVID-19 death everyone who ever had positive test even when knowing that:

1. Tests give false positive results
2. If not showing symptoms after 14 days or if the test was months ago the person clearly died from something else
3. *COVID-19 death is considered even when there is no positive test but just symptoms which coincidentally (or not) are the same like flu and common cold. The life changing decisions are made on biased data without scientific consensus. The COVID-19 measures are not scientific but political.

So what does WHO currently do?

There are frequent press conferences which can be summarized with one sentence: "Fearmongering word salad" which sometimes get as bizarre as it:
Dr Myke Ryan: "The virus doesn't have a brain". Well, we aren't stupid and of course we mocked him about it:

What's even more bizarre is that on Sunday evening after beautiful day at the beach with no internet I found out that Dr Mike Ryan was sneaking on my profile.

I frequently criticize the World Health Organisation for a reason. Unlike Dr Ryan I worked with viruses and even developed an antiviral drug during my PhD in microbiology. As a science communicator my duty is to inform public and COVID-19 is a topic I do understand. I don't earn money from it and would be happy to get back to the environmental science which I'm also familiar with but I can't. The COVID-19 is shutting down the world for no particular reason! There is no scientific consensus about the measures except the logical hygiene, and just a tiny part of the people involved in the COVID-19 decisions understand viruses. I'm not famous: 500 + connections here and 1200 on Twitter. I'm one of the many others who do the same: share scientific evidence and want recommendations based on it! I did work in the famous National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases but I don't think this is what got Dr Ryan's attention. It is because my statements are really reasonable. They are based on what I read in the peer reviewed articles with studies based on independent research. This can't be twisted! It is online forever!
Instead looking at the LinkedIn profiles of people who criticize him, Dr Mike Ryan (and the rest) should look at

1. What science states about COVID-19 like for example the fact that kids aren't likely spreaders of the coronavirus so they shouldn't quarantined nor separated from their families as he suggested in the past: there are several studies confirming it and none which states the opposite
2. That there is no evidence that the lockdowns can hold a virus which has spread way before we know it.

I also want to remind the World Health Organisation representatives that We - the commoners also sponsor the World Health Organisation with our taxes which our governments use to fund the World Health Organisation. This means that we are also the World Health Organisation employers and we should receive a product for our money - health recommendations based on proved scientific research. The COVID-19 handling until now is the opposite. So why I and many others criticize the World Health Organisation? We definitely don't want it! We aren't paid to and it takes our personal time but their unfortunate response make us doing it. We as the rest of the commoners are as well the World Health Organisation employers. AND our money aren't used as should: bizarre statements, sneaking on us, hiring PR companies, no data just fearmongering, destroying people's lives....This is not what an organisation with such name should do. #

WHO scaremongering is backed by china as i see many Chinese who fear the virus most. Indians malays and ang mohs don't really care about it that much.plus chinese read chinese websites which instill more fear mongering.
