Mick Francis SG Like I said many times...demand and supply is why the tender was high in the first instance ..a commercial contract is blinding, like the water supply contract with Malaysia , imagine paying 3 cents ringgit per gallon drawn.. Can Malaysia says no cause Singapore is many too much money when they sell it to bunker ship at a huge profit? Or to us Singaporean ?..so pls dun accused them of profiteering when pap are profiting from many area as well. Secondly , if is soooo profitable, why does the second open tender not drawn any bidder?...shamugam, ght n kbw n company should have form a company and bid for it at a lower price to 'save' the 'helpless' residents there!..if u are sincere in the first place!..

Sunday afternoon, I was at Nex Starbucks with Choong Yong (https://www.facebook.com/kohchoongyong) to discuss the Manifesto for our mutual benefit as we have debates to prepare for and rally speeches to write. A man around our age recognised us and walked to us, shook our hands with a sparkle of appreciation in his eyes, "give them a good fight!"


Tomorrow, it begins. I have major nerves. I am not a natural politician, am just a scholarly monk who is taking up the call to duty, the calling to serve. This song is calming me down much, almost a prayer on repeat.



It reminds me that while I am contesting against the prickly PAP, I am not fighting "against" them, not fighting to win. I am fighting to love, for the love of Singapore, one that seems to be slipping away. I want my children to grow up understanding this song, the movie, and to be touched by both.


Maybe this Seventh Month will be different. Let's give them a good fight!
