马来西亚当地媒体《马来邮报》（The Malay Mail）3月14日报道说，马航失联航班的驾驶员、机长的家人在航班失联前离开了他们位于Laman Seri的住所。

　　这引发了外界对于53岁的机长Zaharie Ahmad Shah是否在事发前经历了家庭问题的疑问。

　　《马来邮报》前往机长的家庭住所，发现只有38岁的女佣在家。这位女佣说：“机长Zaharie的妻子和三个孩子，在航班失联前一天住到了他们第二个住所中。”

　　期间，“他们至回到（原）住所收拾了一些衣物，并且询问房子周围是否一切正常”。

　　在本周五前，也并没有人进入住所。但是在马来西亚总理纳吉布今天15日的新闻发布会后，马来警方即进入机长的住所进行了搜查。

　　纳吉布当天说，很大程度上相信，飞机是被人为关闭了应答器，并且改变了航向
