But actually, I was more annoyed by the audience, who clapped and laughed at her. It was like in a movie where the audience laughs at all the wrong places – where I found the laughter offensive. Or maybe they were laughing out of sheer nervousness. It just made me very uncomfortable and I didn’t see any humour in this. I am sure other women in the audience must have felt for Joan as well.
