It was the hoax that left America in shock. A prankster convinced people to strip search and sexually assault a teenage employee of a McDonalds in Mount Washington.

Now the story is being turned into a movie --- one that is not getting rave reviews.

Louise Ogborn was 18-year-old when it all happened.

She was working at McDonalds in Mount Washington when her life changed forever. Now that night is playing out on the big screen and it’s called Compliance.

It was booed at the Sundance Film Festival and some movie-goers walked out of a screening.

Ann Oldfather represented the victim in this case, Louise Ogborn. The teenager was working at the McDonalds in 2004 when she was strip searched and sexually assaulted. The movie takes the viewer through a detailed account of what happened.

A prankster posing as police officer called the store and convinced the manager that Ogborn had stolen money. The manager called her fiancé up to the store and when he sexually assaulted her.

Oldfather says she hasn't seen the movie and neither has Ogborn. She says Louise is trying to move on with her life.

“She is living a full life and enjoying the gift that god has given her,” Oldfather said.

The store's manager and her former fiancé both entered plea deals in the case. The man suspected of making the prank calls was acquitted.

Ogborn was awarded $6 million in a civil lawsuit from McDonalds.

The film maker says he wants to show people what happens when they lose themselves and only listen to who they believe are authorities.
