When expressing his deep disappointment with the disappearing of Joo Chiat SMC, Workers’ Party NCMP Yee Jenn Jong said he had been looking forward to a good and gentlemanly contest again in that SMC. He must be kidding. His wish was purely fat hope. It is like negotiating with a tiger for its skin. In Chinese this is called 与虎谋皮. Based on WP’s progressive results in the last 3 GEs, everyone knows it would be almost a sure win for WP in Joo Chiat SMC this coming GE, including PAP. Now they have exercised the power conferred on them by law to deprive the voters of Joo Chiat SMC the chance to send Yee into Parliament. There is nothing anybody can do to stop PAP’s dirty act to gain an advantage, because the whole process, though immoral, is allowed by law, i.e. it is perfectly legal.

During the reign of LKY, a lot of funny clauses were quietly slipped in as and when new bills were introduced in Parliament. When the MSM reported on the bills, only the superficial parts were presented. “Undercover clauses” that give the government irrational and arbitrary power are deliberately ignored. Hence, many ridiculous laws have been enacted without the knowledge of the public, and of course they did not provoke any public outcry. The same immoral conduct went on under Goh Chok Tong as well as Lee Hsien Loong. A recent bill aims to honour President Yusof on the surface, but Clause 6 is quietly inserted to allow the Education Minister the sole power to appoint ISEAS Board members in the most recent example of PAP duplicity.

Undoubtedly, the first generation PAP leaders and civil servants did wonders for our nation. Under the guidance of Dutch mastermind Dr. Albert Winsemius, and assisted by wise men like Goh Keng Swee, Hon Sui Sen, Ngiam Tong Dow, etc., they built a strong and vibrant economy for Singapore. With help from the government of Israel, they built a deterrent armed forces for our national defence which brought about security and stability, both of which in turn provided a safe environment for investment. At that point of time, their relentless effort gave the people a high standard of living and high level of education that allowed many of us to have well-paid jobs too. Singaporeans were grateful to PAP and were extremely proud of our nation throughout the seventies and early eighties of the last century.

However, since the stepping down of the 1st generation leaders e.g. Goh Keng Swee, Lim Kim San, Hon Sui Sen, Ong Pang Boon, etc., almost all the government’s economic strategies have failed to take off (e.g. triangle growth with Johor and Batam, ambition in life science, CECA with India, etc.), and our economy has been sustained by means of a property bubble, through casinos and the huge influx of FTs who either rob us of our jobs or make our salaries stagnant. Simultaneously, our laws continue to be altered by the PAP-controlled Parliament until they have the right to legally deny the right of voters to send any of PAP’s contenders into parliament by redrawing the election boundary as they deem fit. They have the right to legally withhold our CPF. They have the right to over pay themselves calculated with ridiculous formula recommended by a committee appointed by themselves. Regrettably, there is nothing we could do about it, not until all the unfair and unjust laws are all thrown out by the parliament, a scenario which could only happen when the parliament is no more under the control of the PAP.

In order to say no to PAP’s underhand tactics, I urge all Singaporeans to exercise our constitutional rights to cast our votes against the PAP in this coming general election, because this is the only chance once in 5 years. Otherwise, if the parliament is in their control again, all the unfair policies and atrocities will continue to happen. More foreigners will be brought in to sustain the PAP’s property bubble. The MRT will continue to be packed like sardine, and more breakdown shall be expected. More Singaporean PMETs will be replaced. Our salaries will continue to be stagnant. CPF will continue to be withheld and depleted via the schemes of high property prices and high medical costs.

Today, the horrible dinosaur is no more there to shout at us to repent, but PAP and its IB will still try to trick us by saying that if the election results turn out to be PAP holding less than 50% of the seats in parliament, Singapore will collapse. Do not be fooled by them. Singaporeans are different from the Greeks, especially our young men and women. We are well educated, intelligent and hard working. All our males have gone through the tough military training, and are resilient. We are prepared to sacrifice for our nation. It is exactly the PAP’s pro foreigner policy that hampers our potential to outshine those foreigners occupying the high positions in many companies in Singapore.

So, don’t ever be affected by the threats from those PAP idiots. Make the bold move to vote them out. Let a new parliament throw out those unfair and draconian laws. Let a new government stop the madness of huge influx of FTs, return our CPF at 55 and reverse all foreigner first policies. Let the new government put a stop to the property bubble. Let the new government nurture our own sons and daughters, to prepare them to excel in whatever ambitions they wish to pursue. Authoritarian Democracy and Parental Rule should be buried together with the carnivore dinosaur.

Heartless
