For the second year in a row, Ikkousha's thin Hakata ramen, rich pork broth and tender pork slices have secured the title of Ultimate Ramen Champion.

It sold 118,500 bowls of ramen within the year, almost double the amount sold by Gantetsu and Bario, which came in second and third place respectively.

The competition for the best ramen outlet started in July 2011 at Bugis+. The winner is chosen based on voting by members of the public onsite and via Facebook, in addition to sales figures.

Ikkousha was crowned champion on Aug 1 and Ramen Champion also announced three new competitors for the Ultimate Ramen Champion 2013.

a very well soup need to cook at least 48 hrs, very time consuming. plus some imported special soup paste from japs. thats why it cost lot just for the soup. for the ramen it self, there is a company at shah alam, commercially produce jap ramen who exported to spore and msia market. the char siew is so so, every body can make it. it combining the right ingredient, you will get a fantastic result. tampopo ramen using this company product as i know.

in japan, the cook used genuine stock...plenty of pork and bones plus other ingredients..and they really have great stock!!! shiokiology heh!
