He needs to forge ahead and avoid being held back, but must also treat the old guard with respect and avoid being overly assertive. SG needs to move forward rapidly. LW must focus on the present to secure the future, and cannot afford the old minister's constant look back on the past; he must drive progress or everyone will stagnate.
