Primary sch student used vulgarity on teacher
A primary school pupil slammed her Chinese teacher in a vulgar Facebook post, and received a reply to the post from none other than the teacher himself.
A netizen who was shocked by the behaviour of the young pupil sent screenshots of the exchange to citizen journalism site, Stomp.
"We are taught to be respectful to our teachers but what has the world become?" wondered the netizen.
In the original post, the female pupil taunted the teacher for his elite educational background: "You think you from Raffles JC big sibo? Tink(sic) you cher I scared uh?"
She also criticised the teacher for his inability to control the class, even when he shouts to get their attention. "Hate my status thn (sic) f------ block me," she added.
In the teacher's lengthy reply, he calmly admitted that he was from Raffes Junior College, but it is not something worth "showing off".
He also asked the pupil to "consider giving due respect to teachers and appreciate their delivery of the lesson", and asked if the girl's parents are aware of her using Facebook, "given your non-legal age"?
In response, the pupil accused him of putting on an act by writing in "such good english", even when he's a Chinese language teacher.
The teacher also asked the pupil to share the posts with her teachers and parents, adding that they would be "most interested in the things that go on in the classrooms nowadays."
Many readers who commented on the post on Stomp expressed criticism towards the girl for her rant. "Can't believe a primary school kid (is) behaving like that. Not easy being a teacher," wrote netizen, cplusesd.
Others blamed "failed parenting" for the girl's behaviour, and applauded the teacher for maintaining his composure in his replies.
