Some cases might just purely be misunderstanding and miscommunication.
Its not suprising to have some people to be quoted a sky-high price, but too afraid to raise it up and discuss with the shop owner and settle it like a man but choose to get home, flame the shop in forums. a.k.a keyboard warrior.
At the end of the day, find out the price beforehand, if happy, engage the service. Not happy, change shop. Its only fair that everyone find out the prices beforehand then decide whether to buy or get the service, this way its clear cut and no complain.
Complains should only be in forums if they're cheated, like if they were quoted $100, and when they went back to collect became $200 for no reason, then fair enough, people should avoid it. But just because this shop charges $25 for a service while the next charges $15, there is no reason to avoid this shop just because of that as people should understand that prices vary based on rent etc. A plate of chicken rice costs $2.50 at coffeeshops but $4 at Foodcourts. Does that mean someone have to post on a forum and tell everyone to avoid the foodcourt?
Reason why I say this is that I see many posts "this bike shop charge too high etc', and the answer is of course - too high don't buy lah! No point flaming a bike shop just because the price burns a hole in your pocket.
In the case of 7cycle team, the thing the TS did wrong was to scold the bikeshop without stating what happened, and also not clarifying with the shop, to the extend that the shop have to clarify it online, exactly the same person I am describing in my second sentence.
