Let me tell you all what I know about Jonal Chong. Jonal Chong is a very good hair stylist. That is a fact.
I have known him for some time and he is extremely rude to his staff and has gay mood swings all the time, especially when his boyfriend (he is the girl in the relationship) gives him problems.
Because he is such an ass to his employees, good staff never stay long. They all leave. Leaving the hair stylists who have no where else to go, to stay on and work for him.
All his promotional material market him but remember, you will not get him. You will get his staff who are unmotivated and could not give a damn.
You have all seen how aggressively he uses foreign artists like Nichole Kidman to frontline his marketing efforts. Why does he now use local ones? Because they all do not go to him. And if he were to use their name, they would all sue him.
He probably did Nichole Kidman’s hair once or twice max, and I am sure that she does not know that he is using her name so aggressively, as if she would endorse his studio!
Jonal is an ass but he is a great hairstylist. If you bought into his personal package, you are ok, but if you bought into his “discounted packages” and you will not get his service, you are screwed.
If he is such hot stuff, why is he back in Singapore? Sitting down in his small unit at Centerpoint? Serving the occasional tai tai?
