Who else realistically can help them?? They know only the gahment can help them as they holds the purse strings to resources and budget. Put yourself in their shoes. Who can u call upon for help?? We don't need more Goh Meng Seng around ...he serves the PAP but masquerade as an Opposition party.
I for a few Opposition parties ...but they need to avoid 3 or 4-corner fights.
