When the targets aren’t met, that is definitely the fault of the school, and can in no way be put down to the fact the objective changed and the children didn’t. An unrealistic goal is never named as such; rather, it’s a “challenge”, or it’s “modern”, or it’s the way they do it in Singapore.

Singapore schools send their children to scale high mountains and not to be afraid even if the adventure cost a few lives.

The school and the child will get colourful resume. The school KPI would have being met and the child will get star awards for having courage and leadership qualities, very much needed if you want to stay ahead in the country very competitive environment.
