CPF is designed to free the government from the burdens of welfare. Just like the chewing gum…it is banned not for the benefits of the people but to prevent MRT doors from jamming and making public floor and roads easier to clean and thus making their jobs easier.
The government’s dream is to make every citizen self sufficient when they grow old and hence the countless tweaking on CPF. If their dreams are realized they will look good internationally and foreign praises will drown the discontents. Unfortunately it has hit a rock when they took the minimum sum for granted.
The FT policy is another dream to increase their votes and I don’t know how it benefits the citizens when seats are taken away in public transports, queues are getting longer in supermarkets, beds are taken away in public hospitals….etc.
When a FT becomes a Singapore Citizen, his spouse including 2 or more children under 21 and aged parents become eligible for Permanent Residents. One FT got employed 6 aliens occupy the limited space in Singapore.

Is the policy for the benefits of Singaporeans?
On top of that the aliens enjoy subsidies like the natives do albeit at a different rate.
Every policy introduced in parliament is for the benefits of the government and not for the people.
Can you think of a government policy that benefits the citizens of Singapore?
