China and Pakistan put forward a five-point initiative to restore peace and stability in the Gulf and Middle East regions
1. Immediately stop hostilities;
2. Start peace talks as soon as possible;
3. Ensuring the safety of non-military targets;
4. Ensure the safety of shipping lanes;
5. Ensure the primacy of the UN Charter
