In the 80s and 90s a working person is.likely
to have a stable job, a family and overall.secure lfe.
Boss tend o keep workers for as long as possible
in those days.

Today is a hire fire culture....you are prepared to leave anytime.
Most pple due to various reasons.don't even bother
to get.married.o they don't have so.much burdens.
Change volatility and constant instability has become the norm.

In the past the PAP votes come From pple who don't
want to rock the boat. However the ordinary worker
experiences so much turmoil isn't concerned about preserving the status quo

When mentality and circumstances change, things will change.

In the past, the pap have thrived on having sinkies putting their noses to the grindstones and trying to carve out a living for themselves and their families, even if they have to work and stay in debt until the day they die.

They are going to have to deal with a new group of people with different mentality and circumstances gradually, as people become less kia see kia su kia boh kia bor and kia chenghu. My bet is that they are not ready for this, becos their own mentality is that people must be a certain way, so that they can be manipulated and cajoled more easily.

40% of the work force are on casual work in the Western countries. School teachers only know if they get work one day before new year school term starts, how pathetic.

All types and sort of excuses not to work hard, pretending sick take mc and go shopping or play snookers and today Gen X and Y (sons of baby boomers) are getting the retributions from baby boomers iniquities.

Back in the 70s, 80s and 90s you see m&ds long queuing at company doctor office/ clinic at every Monday morning keng m/c not to work. I think it is the right thing to do putting everyone on casual and see if they dare to keng not to work hard.
