The financially rich will probably continue to do well, because the personal income tax rates are not very progressive, there is no capital gains tax, there is no estate duty.
Those families will continue to accumulate wealth and pass it to the next generations.
As much as the foreigners are skilled, knowledgeable and experienced, I believe that a majority of the new immigrants are not better than Singaporeans.
Accordingly, when foreigners displace Singaporeans, and middle age Singaporeans are unable to find jobs with similar income, there will be growing resentment against foreign workers and immigrants.
