The beauty of this speech is in it's simplicity.The delivery with pictures is sharp,like a swift delivery by an expert Samurai with his sword.Contrast this with the upper lipped Victorian style of LKY speech---which only dazzled the less educated.Chee had done it once again.

Will someone please post Sylvia Lim's who spoke with a forked tongue. ... at the International Bar Association Conference held in Singapore.She was practically licking at LKY ass.

And what happened to Chia Thye Poh who was elected into the parliament ?Not to mention JBJ;despite the privy council in London having overturned LKY's kangaroo court 's ruling......first you have to be an 'approved' opposition by LKY.Only than the option through our pseudo parliament is open for any.

Here is a clue.Watch Sylvia Lim how she boot-licked LKY's beholden judiciary that jailed and bankrupted opposition figures.The reward would earn enough brownie points as a MP.Even Yaw was qualified to be one since who openly declared that he rather vote for PAP.

Chia Thye Poh was never a communist. He was deemed communist by LKY as he was a very significant threat to him. His sufferings were all due to a man (if u can consider him one) who can't stand for anyone opposing him and so resorted to cowardly actions by hiding behind the ISA. LKY is despicable but those like u who go against all conscience to carry his balls are 100 times more despicable.

Chia was not a threat to LKY personally but he was a significant threat to the prosperity and progress of Singapore. Had his socialist/Marxist doctrine been allowed to gain traction, Singapore would be a mere shadow of what it is today. The economic miracle that LKY orchestrated would never have happened.

I will be forever grateful to LKY for his hardline approach towards those who threatened the success of the nation.

CST, LTK, CMS, SL are good . They are more moderate and work within the framework set by the pap. The pap is more acceptable to them than others. They are good parliamentarians who work for their constituents.

But we need also hard ball politicians like CSJ, VW, NS, AYG , TJS etc who will ask hard questions and hold the pap to task. These politicians will push the boundaries and force the pap to improve.

Look at what lawyer Ravi has done to LHL, forcing LHL to back down.

CSJ, VW, TJS, NS, AYG will do wonders for SG's political landscape.

i agree..that's why we need CSJ, NS, VW, TJS in Parliament. We dont need yes-men nor nice guys in Parliament. But LKY was determined to deny such good men into Parliament.

Yes,I did--but many years later.I also saw JBJ pitted against LKY.I ran the clip slow motion and LKY actually crawled against his seat with fists clenched in the parliament while JBJ was questioning him.That's when I realized that LKY is nothing but a paper general.

Francis Seow was simply suave---he will lead the questioned like a lamb for slaughter.His innocuous sounding questions may come across as if no harm meant.Than he will sting like a needle through a banana--not realizing you are caught off your guard.That's what happened to LKY

LKY pride himself as a cross examining specialist of a sort.His style of questioning is predatory.Anyone in the stand knows he is after your blood.....no big deal.

JBJ have this style of putting his victim to calm.He looks elsewhere when he questions.As if no harm is meant.Suddenly,he slams --literally.And everybody knows the game is over for the questioned.

It would only be a miracle if the standard of living for all S'poreans has risen. What's actually happening is that the lives for the ordinary folks hard been getting harder and harder and harder, many are much poorer than before. The right term to use is Economic Mirage as far as S'pore is concerned
