Yes, thank you to all the parties except WP and PAP. These two parties are the two big bullies. They both love their parties more than they love Singapore and Singaporeans.

Bro, the crux of the issue, at this very moment, is not the outcome (or your presumption of the outcome). The difference lies in the attitude of the parties in coming together to remove the political impasse.
Let's not forget SDP has an alternative - just keep quiet and let NSP fight it out with WP. Let's give credit when it's due.

Nicole Seah may not do as well as people expect if she stands against Tin. Tin has redeemed herself somewhat and the only factor against her is what will affect PAP as a whole, while Nicole has become more pro-PAP than the most moderate opposition party or opposition member you can think of.
People would not see any difference voting Nicole if she tells people changing the PAP is pointless and the opposition can't do better than PAP.

To an extent, SDP's giving NSP Sembawang allowed NSP to field candidates which it had meant for Marine Parade. Otherwise, more people will resign from NSP.
However, I am someone who feels NSP should return Sembawang to SDP.

We got to admit that the way-giving gracious pattern of SDP, SingFirst and NSP (even if NSP did not sound that gracious) cannot apply to WP because WP scores the best chance of winning any ward and people have expectations of WP to contest as many seats as possible. In 2011, even WP's worse result is something other parties can only dream of.
You can be sure if the attacks on AHPETC does have an impact on WP's votes and make it fall below NSP's, SPP's or SDP's average score, other opp parties will cannibalise WP like they have never done before. Even I would stop supporting WP's encroaching on previously contested wards of other opp parties.

I believe in the PE-BE, LTK gave a speech why opposition unity is not something the WP would want to follow. The results of the PE-BE proved his case. For the GE, I agree with you, that it should be no different for WP as it is the leading party and I think it will still outperform all the other parties despite the relentless attack on AHPeTC

The attitude of the WP really sucks! I hate bullies. The last thing I need is to get rid of one PAP bully and get another WP bully.
Like what is commonly said, it is not "WHAT" you do, but "HOW you do" something.
The way that WP bulldozed its way into Marine Parade and Macpherson really left a yucky after-taste.
I mean so what if WP wins, there is no dignity in the win. WP always talk big during the election rallies once in five years. Then they keep quiet in the Parliament for five years until the next election comes around. I think Mr Low does not even understand what is the meaning of democracy at all.
This is Mr Low TK's pattern for the last twenty five years. He has had the most comfortable job for the last twenty five years as an MP. All he needed to do was to give a few Teochew speeches during the election rallies once in five years. He could not care about the ISA, the civil society, the NGOs etc.
Without a lot of hard work by Kenneth Jeya. behind the scene writing letters to the various international organizations, Amos might still be in jail. I respect KJ a lot now - he really has a good heart. Mr Low and the WP MPs did not even care to speak a word in Parliament when Amos was arrested.
Watch the below video, democracy does not stop just with elections, which is what the PAP and WP want to mislead Singaporeans.
I won't see it this way as to give them credit. Many opposition parties are often claiming they are going to contest in XX number of seats without the intention and capability to do so. The reason is to put them on a favorable bargaining position on the negotiating table with other oppositions and give voters the false impression that they are really compromising for the sake of 'opposition unity'. Other than these it also to give the false impression that their party is growing and progressing.
Just take stock at what the actual number of seats each opposition party is contesting vs the number of seats they claim before horse trading. All opposition parties are playing this gimmick except for WP. If parties don't mean what they say, voters are not so stupid not to see through the tricks. It hard for voters to take their words seriously.
This whole horse trading exercise has become more of a comedy and I often think WP shouldn't play along with others by attending.
