Thank You NNI, TTSH

Recently, a loved one didnt feel well. He went to see his doctor and was referred to A&E Dept, TTSH. An MRI was done within two hours. Stroke was confirmed and bleeding detected. He was warded within four hours. Nurses and doctors in the ward were responsive and caring. The nurse in charge of every shift came in and introduced herself to him. Doctors were singaporeans. Nurses were Singaporeans and Filipinas. There was no language problem.

He was well taken care of during his stay.

Heart Echo was done on the 2nd day

CT Scan was done on the third day.

Eye check was done before discharge on 4th day.

For three days after discharge, the Ward nurses called up to enquire abt his well being.

I am thoroughly impressed by the excellent medical care and prompt service given by TTSH and NNI. I am proud of TTSH and NNI.

A big thank you, NNI and TTSH

Your supposedly 'loved one' saw a private GP, got a private referral, paid at a non-subsidised private rate which is equvalient to private hospital in the so called 'public restructured' hospital.

Which is why he/she got the supposedly treatment.

Tell that to most Sinkie who goes to see docs at Poly clinics and wait long long to see any specialist becos they NEED SUBSIDISED medical fees.

Excellent my foot.

Your love one could even have gotten a red carpet rolled out to him if he had gone to private hospital, paying at the same rate and can even GET MUCH BETTER DOCTORS to treat him!

So don't come here to try praising your Master PAP lousy health scheme.

Try harder next time.

Its ok, just a friendly chat. I doubt she will take up my offer.

i totally agreed with you tracy. we should count our blessings and our good fortune to have a world class medical service in singapore. yes, you described your loved one's condition very well. thank you for sharing.

we should learn to appreciate the good things here in singapore. not always bashing but sometimes we do have to give some due credit where it is deserved.

yes, thank yu NNI and TTSH

I am sure many of us are familiar with the healthcare system & the hospitals. I believe we have enquired about our healthcare system in which we are very familar with & would not dispute that it is efficient. It is so efficient in making money out of our fears, there is no doubt that we have one of the best health care system in the world but at a price, of course, you pay for what you get. So don't get sick!

One can begin by asking when you need to be using the hospital or the clinic (s) :

1. what is the difference in Clinics, Wards, Tests between Subsidized (meaning C) as to B and above.
2. What is the difference in Pharmacies between ( same as above)
3. What is the difference in drugs obtained in (2)
4. What is the difference in doctors, staff & others as in (1)
5. what is the difference between Healthcare groups, for example, TTSH & NNI at the same hospital or across the island, in different hospitals

You will be educated...or surprised! I give you a hink, the $8 for cardiac procedure is a BULLSHIT!

hi there

1. uncle, i believe every sheep on sheepishland must also know what is its limitations & type of care.
2. after all, there is simply no free lunch.
3. every sheep works for it!
4. unless unlike some sheep with a 8-buck medical bill thing!

kopiuncle, beside being the resident attention whore you still want to take up the vulgarities police portfolio?

One can begin by asking when you need to be using the hospital or the clinic (s) :

1. what is the difference in Clinics, Private patients just call get appointment within days. Subsidised ones, you go die and wait for 6 months or more. If you cannot wait go die better. Private patients go to a different pharma with much less queue and have non standard drugs availiable to them. Subsidised you go queue long long and can go and die better , if you want those expensive drugs for treatment. YOU GET NONE OF IT,

Tests between Subsidized (meaning C) as to B and above. Subsidised wards B2 and C you'll have to wait long long for it, becos of the rules which they make it. Also you must qualify for $8 Cow Means test before you even think you want to go B2 or C. Unless you checked in dying at the steps leading to the hosp. In that case, they will still ask you in your dying breath whether you have enough in your Medi-save or not. B2 and C ward also will not have many 'non standard' treatment availiable to it. You don't need to pay a heavy deposit for warding unless you have very little in your Medi-save. So what if you don't have enough to cough out for B2 or C deposit and yet have little in Medi-save?

Then you go die on the road beside the hosp. They won't care.

2. What is the difference in Pharmacies between ( same as above)
As answered
3. What is the difference in drugs obtained in (2) As answered. You do not get many drugs listed as NON STANDARD even if you need it!

4. What is the difference in doctors, staff & others as in (1) Subsidised patients get junior inexperienced doctors, hardly senior consultant only in rare cases. Which means, instead of healing you, they make you worse.

5. what is the difference between Healthcare groups, for example, TTSH & NNI at the same hospital or across the island, in different hospitals
The two groups are just like two mafia groups operating under a direct control of ONE GOD father. So does that answer your questions?

You will be educated...or surprised! I give you a hink, the $8 for cardiac procedure is a BULLSHIT!

So how are my answers, truth, direct or bull shit like what Kinana would dish out?LOL

Some people are just born to be exploited.

Its ok, I was probably being too harsh on you. But you have to realised that some of the underprivileged actually knows they are getting fucked but can't do anything about it.

their most effective weapon is their votes. Use it wisely

You must have known someone there or very very lucky.
Twice I brought my dad there, and twice I've to wait from before lunch to 8pm to be allocated a bed for my dad.
I wonder what situation it will be, when there's another outbreak of bird flu?

Perhaps, he was lucky.
