And what line might that be?

If I say too much abt my work and myself here, people may think that I am boastful.

so i rather chat abt topics and current issues rather than talk abt myself.

hope you understand:)

Its ok, just a friendly chat. I doubt she will take up my offer.

You don't have to say anything. That line itself implies you live a privileged life compared to the rest of the country. As for topics and current issues, I suspect you are just in here to get a "better" feel of the ordinary life of Singaporean. Don't just assume that because you care, the general population is on your side and feels the same. If anything, the issues you raised is like an insult to everyday Singaporean.

Recently, a loved one didnt feel well. He went to see his doctor and was referred to A&E Dept, TTSH. An MRI was done within two hours. Stroke was confirmed and bleeding detected. He was warded within four hours. Nurses and doctors in the ward were responsive and caring. The nurse in charge of every shift came in and introduced herself to him. Doctors were singaporeans. Nurses were Singaporeans and Filipinas. There was no language problem.

He was well taken care of during his stay.

Heart Echo was done on the 2nd day

CT Scan was done on the third day.

Eye check was done before discharge on 4th day.

For three days after discharge, the Ward nurses called up to enquire abt his well being.

I am thoroughly impressed by the excellent medical care and prompt service given by TTSH and NNI. I am proud of TTSH and NNI.

A big thank you, NNI and TTSH

A&E ($90) is at B1, CT Scan part of NNI B1, stroke with bleelding done immediately, later another is done ( CT Scan not cheap) ward is on the 10th floor, Heart Scan ( echo test is $450), is on 3rd Floor Heart Atrium, Stroke with bleeding cannot be discharged on 4th day, minimum stay 32 days, eye clinic is on Atrium level ( need I state consultant fees?)...NNI & TTSH are part of different health care clusters...you stay in a Class "C" ward..you think, they would be so friendly, not that they will not be attentive..

Won't dispute that TTSH or NNI or the Neurologist ( $200), the endocrinologist, the ophthalmologist, the podiatrist, the nutritionist, therapist ( therapist & occuptaional therapist, plus psychologist, psychiatrist & counselors ( use all , different fees each, for example therapist $80 each) & the rehab specialist ( $140) on the 5th floor..the one stop money making..yes, the healthcare system is excellent.. they will call you after your discharge...but if you pay $8 extremely subsidized rate or you are the extremely connected like cow...you think you would receive a call from the hospital?

Please don't bullshit on a stroke with bleeding, discharged after 4 days..please BLUFF PROPERLY!!

Ward 13B.

Heart echo was done in the room

Its ok, I was probably being too harsh on you. But you have to realised that some of the underprivileged actually knows they are getting fucked but can't do anything about it.

i just like to be myself and I am sorry if someone feels insulted

Yes, perhaps what my loved one was lucky. I am sharing what he experienced and what I saw.

Wld appreciate if others share their experiences, good or bad, too

hi there

1. gal, me not pouring cold water over the matter.
2. can we have more details & information on the type of ward class your relation had during the thing?
3. what was the fee range then?
4. it shall paint a betterer pic too.

total bill

cash + medisave + insurance, total bill only $3000?

cheaper than those give birth package?

u mentioned MRI in your first post, i had MRI on my spine in 2008 at TTSH as a subsidised patient, still cost me $600 out of pocket. so after so many scans and checks and stay 4 days in hospital only $3k? i find it hard to believe. both my father and in law also suffer minor stroke, both only out after more than a week. 4days seems a bit short.

You must have known someone there or very very lucky.
Twice I brought my dad there, and twice I've to wait from before lunch to 8pm to be allocated a bed for my dad.
I wonder what situation it will be, when there's another outbreak of bird flu?
