1. Behind the smiles and revelry by the leaders of States, ULTIMATELY, it is only a CEASEFIRE, not a agreement to end the conflict. There is still MUCH, much ahead to resolve the issues behind the current conflict...
2. The biggest source of conflict lays with the territorial maps which can be used as a source of instigation and support for conflicts amongst the naive by the cunning whom have far more nefarious aims than a few square miles of land space. Humanity had seen it happened time and time since the dawn of Civilization....
3. The recent deadly border skirmish at the borders are suspected to be due to the recent Thai attempts, on behalf of Humanity and especially to scammed China citizens, to stop the scamming centers in Cambodia which Thailand had support from Cambodia govt, and made critical arrests, to teach the Thais a lesson by the scamming Cambodian elites for interfering in their heinous criminal activities to Humankind Worldwide.
Without support from the Cambodian elites - the political class, biz and military leaders, scammers would never had been able to scammed billion$ annually, which some of such horrendous gains being paid in bribes to the elites whom will trickle down the dollars to the lowest uneducated look-out person, deprived of opportunities in life in Cambodia, whereby a mere US$50 note would make them sell their daughters and mothers. I had sadly seen such before.....
4. As Cambodia is a failed State, it is also a family run Nation, whereby progenies and obedient prodigies obeys and follows orders. It is a country Ruled by Might and NOT by Rule of Law, despite any semblances of Democracy.
Thus, there are no strong middle classes or democratic institutions for check and balances, or Judicial Arm to redress issues.
As it is a Rule of Might country, like most criminal orgs such as drug cartels or the Mafia type orgs, power lays within the STRONGEST of the day. At times, it may seem that the Titular Ruler authoritatively runs the country, but at times, it is the strongest whom have the support in finances and arms that have the last say....thus the danger that Cambodia and its political leader faces to end the conflict....
5. However, all is not lost. At the end of the day, it is MONEY, in BILLION$ that the supposed strongest will rule, which is a fact of life, as no soldier would be able to fight on an empty belly, let alone the necessary but costly advance support equipment such as radars, missiles, jet fighters, etc, etc.,..
While the elites may attempt to use other means, including illegitimate means to build up its own treasury, it can NEVER measure up to what a Central govt can earn. Stop the $$$ flow, and the morons will toe the line and stop acting on their own.
6. The insignificant nobody me offers my humble but sincere condolences to the victims of the loved ones lost in this horrendous and unnecessary conflict in such peaceful times.
There is not much that I can say that may alleviate the pain in such losses, but rest assured, they are in a FAR better place than here now and their...rather unintended sacrifices WILL NOT BE IN VAIN, as thru media reports, will galvanized 7 Billion+ Humankind's support to end such needless conflicts, to those whom live in Ivory towers whom had CREATED such pain and sufferings....Each life, big or small, is precious and means something special to another....
