A world-famous cabaret show will be coming to Singapore next month.
The Tiffany's Cabaret Show, featuring 15 transsexuals and five male performers will be performing at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) over one weekend in mid-April, the dates of the show have not been confirmed.
A highlight of the show is Thailand's transsexual queen Ms Nong Poy, 25, who is known to her fans as 'the most beautiful woman in Thailand.'
According to RWS, the show will not feature any sleaze and nudity, but promises "extravagant costumes, special effects, detailed backdrops and a specially-written music score" put together in a visually stunning performance.
The show originated from Pattaya, Thailand, was also voted fourth among the Top Ten Best Shows in the world on TravelCom Magazine, behind Moulin Rouge in Paris, as well as Siegfried & Roy and Mysters, both from Las Vegas.
According to Mr Robin Goh, the assistant director of communications at RWS, the show is intended to celebrate Thailand's Songkran festival, or the Thai New Year, and will reflect RWS' embrace of diversity.
Nong Poy: The Transsexual Queen
Fans of Ms Nong Poy will finally get to see their idol in the flesh at the Tiffany's Cabaret Show.
Her photos went viral on the Internet after she won the Miss Tiffany 2011 title by beating many other transsexual contestants from all over the world.
A fan 'clfan' exclaimed in a forum, "She is the most beautiful transgender person and I'm in love with her!"
inSing previously reported on another transsexual star, Bell Nuntita, who was invited to perform at a Thai-themed nightspot in Singapore last year.
At the time, the response for Bell's show was described as 'the phone ringing off the hook' with fans clamouring to meet her, many asking for the age limit of 18 to be scrapped.
Can we expect a similar reception for Ms Nong Poy and the Tiffany's Cabaret Show?
