decided on the blue sapphire macan as driving the x from sf to san diego is already a problem. somewhere in the middle of the drive down interstate 5 need to stop in bakersfield for a battery top up. upon arriving the few rapid recharging stops provided by tesla is full of model s and x waiting in line. there are corporate parking stops with ev charging away from the interstate but they are few and far between in redneck bakersfield. another city to go to is fresno but that is a long detour. the x mapping optimizer for battery top up recommends stops that are popular and filled with teslas going both south and north on 5. charging time at ev stop that is not tesla’s requires about 4 hours. some 6.9 hours. even stopping for 69 mins at a tesla stop is too long - 39 mins waiting, 30 mins charging. upon arrival in los angeles before the last leg has to find pit stop for bio break and replenishments (snacks). charging is a challenge with more traffic concentrated on the way in just after the grapevine. finally upon arriving at the motel in sd, all ev charging stations are taken, and ev drivers like all leftwing liberal “eco-friendly” environmentalist fucktards are jerks. they have fully charged their ev’s but they leave their ev’s parked at the charging station with cables still connected. how to find them when it’s nearly midnight and everyone except criminals are asleep? decision to buy the macan is a no brainer.
tesla x is great if driving within a 69-mile radius 96% of the time. and when an ev charging station is found, it’s like a sweet young woman just stripped naked in front of you.

Would love to get a Model X but understand that tesla set up an office here but closed shop within 6months citing difficulties working with LTA.
With that pathetic amount of rebate under VES, it unlikely EV will take off here. At a point when some Asian countries had already set deadlines to stop selling petrol cars, we are lagging not only in payment system but in embracing newer technology like EV.

Both are beautiful but my vote goes to Macan
it’s like flying a spaceship in a model x but the road grip of a macan is fantastic, especially off-road. beats the shit out of the x and evoque.
