The reason these jokers like Teo Soh Lung, Kirsten Han & Jolovan Wham get so worked up is probably because they spout too much nonsense online and offline? We probably have too many of these "alternative views" around so I personally wouldn't mind having a tighter control. What says you?

"The law is that skewed. These ministers and civil servants have truly become our masters.

The Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation Bill seeks to gag individuals and corporations, Singaporeans and foreigners alike. Our ministers want the world to note that even though Singapore is a tiny island, they are extremely powerful and capable of controlling the world. Needless to say, Singaporeans have been reduced to digits.

The Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation Bill will definitely pass into law without major amendments at the next sitting of parliament. It will not go through a select committee hearing because several days have already been wasted by such a committee last year. It will become law very soon and definitely before the General Election. It will be so useful to snuff out everything that can diminish public confidence in the government which the law deems to be of “public interest”."

You think this blatant censorship only affects those 'rabble rousers' and 'malcontents' who frequent Hong Lim Park... trust me, eventually you'll be a victim too.

agree! even Li ShengWu said it . . . . it all boils down the impacts on your contents that hit the "concerns"!
remember, the banker built & run the whole casino to themselves using your money, from lawyer to security.
so, there is no extension for any gambler like you & me; its always a lose-&-lose situations.......

My multimillionaire ministers say we still can say our opinion but not to twist facts. So in my opinion, Teo Soh Lung looks like an old wrinkled unwanted lesbian... like that my multimillionaire ministers say is okay one. Long live PAP, huat ahhhhhh

A little slow from the usually efficient government but nonetheless, it's never to late. One only has to look at the cut-and-paste falsehoods and rubbish purveyed in this forum, believed and touted by its forummers as being the "high IQ" forum compared to other Sinkie forums, to know that the Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation Bill is extremely important and will serve the country well.

The only complain I have about this bill is that the penalties are not harsh enough. Lee Hsien Loong is either too politically correct or has forgotten what his father correctly observed about Sinkies, i.e. they are "adult dogs" which need to be trained with "the stick".

Don't stinge on the stick Loong. It's how your father got the country to where it is today. Nevertheless, well done. It's a good start. Keep up the great work PAP.
