No more reductions in NS

MALE Singaporeans rejoiced when the period of national service, or NS, was cut from two and a half years to two years in 2004.
The transformation of the Singapore Armed Forces to a third-generation force was a major factor for the reduction.
Now that the transformation of the SAF is well underway, will the period for NS be cut even more?
The answer is no, according to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean.
He said: "You can't get two discounts for the same thing."
While NS men may not see changes in the duration of their service, they will certainly experience the advancements, technological or otherwise, in the armed forces.

Those new citizens get 100% discount! The argument that their next generation will do NS as well do not hold any water cos ALL current NS Singaporeans' next generation will also need to do NS. So what stupid argument is that? Only the dumb and weak minded think that that is a valid answer from the gov.

And to add insult to the NSmen, the FTrash are given free scholarships and have jobs reserved for them even without having to serve NS + reserve service. It shows that NS is nothing more than a tool used by the Familee Sell Country Thieves to oppress Sporns. How long more can Sporns tolerate such gross BETRAYAL?
