Chesapeake faces board challenge
04:45 AM Jun 11, 2012

"In 2010, Temasek Holdings pumped US$500 million (S$642.2 million) into Chesapeake, through buying its cumulative non-voting convertible preferred stock. Temasek Holdings' website still lists Chesapeake as one of its major portfolio companies.

Recently, Chesapeake shareholders have plenty to be unhappy about: Their shares are worth about 40 per cent less than a year ago. The company still has big spending plans even though it is taking in less cash because of a plunge in natural gas prices. And it needs to sell off billions of dollars in assets to service a huge debt load."

Another USD200m down the drain .....

Not 'lose money', but 'long-term strategic investment'.

Please use the correct term.
