Temasak lost $24 Billion in 3 months

liddat Tummysick did worse than Warren what.... Jialat liao!!
Perhaps the reason for PAP to rush an election so that they can have their so-called strong mandate to collect more monies from Singaporeans, invite more foreigners to flood the island and also change CPF withdrawal age and payouts.

seems to be the case. net result is it's going to get tougher. not easier. we're going to need some divine intervention soon...

Sinkees just accept . No sound no picture. No medicine can cure .

Anyway it is only from the CPF money which you will never see.....so no loss.

I think temasek will play with Fair Value accounting gimmick.
Changi Airport was given to them cheaply..It is a private asset..They may RNAV, so watch out..Singaporeans will be hoodwinked again.

bh or brk.a had a total asset value of us$816.9b in 2019, and it dropped to us$769b in 1st quarter 2020. considering its total asset value was us$706.9b in 2018, it still is positive over a 2-year period. as for tummysick it was s$308b in 2018 and s$313b in 2019. most likely it’s total portfolio value dropped to s$269b 1st half of 2020.
Today's Bloomberg news says HC suggests Temasek might be valued northwards of S$300B.

very unlikely considering multi-billion $ losses in its major domestic portfolios in singtel, dbs, capitaland, sia, etc. the same bloomberg reported $23.5b losses in march 2020. unless international portfolios in nasdaq and nyse offset the domestic losses, don’t see any hope of a rally above s$300b for another 6.9 months.

anything is possible if they revalue their unlisted assets to fair mkt value,. not mark to market..eg. changi airport

It's just a paper loss so there's nothing to worry about.

Did these morons unwind their positions and sold? Or just a paper loss? If they stood the ground and resist not selling in March, they would have recovered most of it.
