He said:
"It is scary when there are slashing cases happening around the neighbourhood mall with so many adults, children and youths.
"Can we still feel safe shopping in neighbourhood malls?"
The STOMPer added that it was not the first time such an incident has happened in the area.
Another STOMPer who was at the scene, Missy, said that the youth who was slashed was bleeding from his stomach, but he didn't seem to be in a serious condition.
She added that a girl who was believed to have been with the attacker was also questioned by the police.

Upon their arrival, a 19-year-old youth was found injured. He was later conveyed conscious to NUH.

A heated dispute between two Culinary Arts coursemates from Shatec turned ugly when one was allegedly stabbed in the abdomen by the other with a pocket knife at Lot One on Tuesday (Oct 1) night.
The 19-year-old victim, Tan Zhi Long, was quarreling with the 20-year-old suspect outside the malls McDonald's outlet before he was stabbed.
Shin Min Daily news reported that the two youths, believed to be friends, had met to settle a month long dispute which had escalated when both were posted to the same food outlet.
The victim had shown up with his cousin while the suspect had shown up with his girlfriend.
Eyewitnesses stated that the victim's cousin, however, was not present when the two men were arguing.
Passers-by also stated that the argument attracted their attention. One of the youths suddenly stumbled away while bleeding from his abdomen and covered his wound with a white cloth, staining it red.
The suspect and his girlfriend remained at the scene after the attack, reports The Straits Times. When Police arrived at the scene, he held out his arms and challenged them to arrest him.
An eyewitness also told The New Paper that both men remained calm after the incident, and that the victim even stayed on his feet and argued with the suspect's girlfriend after the stabbing.
Police also said that the victim was conveyed conscious to NUH, and is in stable condition, and that investigations into the case were ongoing.
