Teenage molester arrested

A 15-YEAR-OLD teenager believed to be behind several cases of molestation and insulting the modesty of women in Bukit Batok has been arrested.

He was caught at about 11pm on Wednesday in the vicinity of Lim Chu Kang Road.
Police have received more than five reports from his victims, aged nine to 18, since April.

Upon investigation, a pattern emerged: The victims were all in the lift when the suspect rushed in stark naked. He would then either molest them, or leave after showing them his body.

He struck in various blocks in the estate, and mostly by day.

Following the reports, officers from Jurong Police Division analysed the crime patterns and set up surveillance posts to catch him.

The officers? efforts paid off when they obtained closed-circuit television footage of the suspect.

Juvenile who appeared nude faces more charges

A 15-YEAR-OLD juvenile charged last week with molesting a girl in a lift was accused of seven more charges on Wednesday.

The student is said to have molested three more victims aged 11 to 18 and insulted the modesty of four others by mainly appearing nude in front of them in the lifts of HDB blocks in Bukit Batok between April 6 and June 28.

He was represented by Ms Goh Siok Leng.

The juvenile was remanded for psychiatric assessment.

His case will be mentioned again on July 27.

SINGAPORE: A teenage serial sex offender admitted in the Juvenile Court, Thursday, that he had molested three girls and insulted the modesty of two others between April and June, this year.

The small-sized, tan-complexioned student targeted girls aged between 10 and 18 years old inside lifts in the Bukit Batok area.

The 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named due to his age, pleaded guilty to five of the 13 charges against him.

He appeared in the nude before four of the girls and molested three of them.

The boy was not naked before his youngest victim.

Instead, he unzipped his fly and showed the girl his private parts on June 27.

He was arrested at an adventure camp nine days later.

The youngster appeared in court Thursday dressed in his school uniform and accompanied by his parents.

Defence counsel, Christina Goh, said her client wants to change for the better and has also apologised to his victims.

He will be back in court on October 11.

A 15-year-old youth has pleaded guilty to 13 charges in court, including four charges for molestation.

He was arrested after carrying out a string of molestations between April and June this year at an estate in Bukit Batok.

It was revealed in court that the youth had begun molesting girls since he was 13 years old. His victims range from between nine to 18 years old.

In 2009, the 13-year-old had molested a young girl in the Taman Jurong area by hugging her and bumping his hip against her.

During his bold acts, he would usually strip naked and enter a lift on the second on third floor. He would then take advantage of his stunned victims by molesting them.

The youth, who appeared in court in his school uniform, pleaded for a chance to make amends and to turn over a new leaf.

The judge has decided to pronounce his sentence only after seeing his probation report.
