the great send off will happen in florence (firenze) and the peloton will head to rimini in the east before heading west towards bologna then to france thru’ torino and the aosta valley in the alps. there’s a small town between italy and france called aosta, famous for its cheese. i know that route pretty well, and i love the stinkiest cheese. it will end in nice, of all places.
