SINGAPORE: HDB estates have generally seen improvements in the areas of cleanliness, maintenance, lift performance and S&CC arrears management, according to the second Town Council Management Report (TCMR).

Out of the 16 Town Councils managing the estates, five made improvements in cleanliness, three in maintenance, one in lift performance and six in S&CC arrears.

Sembawang Town Council made improvements in three areas: cleanliness, maintenance and S&CC arrears.

Potong Pasir Town Council improved on its lift performance but fared worse in the area of estate cleanliness compared to the first TCMR.

Hougang did not make any improvement.

The second Town Council Management Report covered the six-month period from April to September this year.

I just came back from Potong Pasir. The estate is pretty well taken care of and is very clean.

If PP and/or Hougang badly managed, both MPs would have been kicked out long ago. Or, if still around after not taking care of their wards, it just means their constituents' tolerance level for rubbish and stench is way above national tolerance level.
